Charity Shop to Vinted Profit Tracker App (UK 2026)
If you source clothes and small items from charity shops to flip on Vinted, FlipperHelper is the iPhone app built for that pipeline. It logs each charity shop purchase with a photo and price, tracks which Vinted listing it ended up on, and shows your real profit after sourcing costs and any platform charges.
Most Vinted-specific tools focus on bulk listing inside the Vinted app. Most "profit tracker" apps focus on per-item costs without understanding sourcing. The charity-shop-to-Vinted reseller needs both — and that's exactly the workflow this app was built for.
What does a charity shop to Vinted reseller need from a tracker?
Sourcing volume is high. You walk into a charity shop with 3,000 items on rails and walk out with five things in a carrier bag. Multiply that by three shops on a Saturday and you're trying to remember 15 purchases by the time you get home. The app needs to:
- Log items in seconds — at the till or in the car after, before you forget
- Track each charity shop separately — so you know which ones are actually worth visiting
- Track listing status on Vinted — and any other platforms you cross-list to (eBay, Depop, Facebook)
- Record sale price and date — so days-to-sell becomes visible
- Calculate real profit — after Vinted's buyer protection structure, postage costs, and any seller-side fees in your region
- Handle multiple currencies — useful if you also do French brocantes or Spanish flea markets
How FlipperHelper handles the charity shop to Vinted workflow
Sourcing — at the charity shop
Open the app, snap a photo of the garment, enter what you paid (£3, £4, £8 — whatever was on the tag). Choose the charity shop from your saved list. The app auto-suggests it if you have GPS market detection on. Done. You can keep walking the rails.
Listing — when you get home
Tap the item, toggle "Vinted" on, optionally toggle other platforms if you cross-list. The app records the listing date for every platform separately. Now you can see at a glance: how many of your items are listed, how many are still in the "to list" pile, how long they've been sitting unlisted.
Sold — when Vinted notifies you
When Vinted tells you it sold, mark the item sold in FlipperHelper and enter the sale price. The dashboard immediately recalculates your profit. The app records days-to-sell — so over time you build up data on which charity shops produce fast-selling stock and which produce dead stock.
Dashboard — which charity shops are actually worth it
Open the dashboard. Filter by month. Look at profit grouped by market. If your local British Heart Foundation produced £180 net last month and the smaller Mind shop two streets away produced £42 net, you'll see it. Most resellers visit the same shops on autopilot — this is the data that breaks the autopilot.
How FlipperHelper compares to Vinted-specific tools
Vinta.app and VinTracker
These are Vinted-only — they help you bulk list, manage your Vinted shop, and analyse your Vinted-specific stats. They're useful if Vinted is your only platform. The limitation: they don't know what you paid for items at charity shops, and they can't track items you've also listed on eBay, Depop, or Facebook Marketplace. So your "profit" inside those tools is missing the cost-of-goods half.
FreshBooks and Zoho Expense
These are accounting tools, not reseller trackers. They handle invoices, expense receipts, and tax-time reports. They don't understand the per-item, per-platform, per-source workflow that resellers run. You can use them alongside a tracker for tax purposes, but not instead of one.
Resellr, Reseller Profit Tracker, Profit Prophet
These are smaller cross-platform profit-tracking apps with overlapping features. They each handle the basic per-item profit math. The differentiators are usually around platform coverage, expense tracking depth, and how the dashboard presents data over time. FlipperHelper's specific edges are entry-fee tracking (relevant if you also do car boots), GPS market detection, and Google Sheets export with full column structure.
Spreadsheets
You can do all of this in Google Sheets — many resellers start there. The friction is mobile data entry. A typical reseller switches off spreadsheets within 6 months because it kills consistency. FlipperHelper exports to Google Sheets — so you keep the spreadsheet view if you need it for tax or analysis, but the app is what you actually use at the till.
What FlipperHelper doesn't do
- Not a Vinted bulk lister. You list manually on Vinted; the app records what you've listed and where.
- iPhone only. Android and web versions are not available.
- No automatic sales import. You mark items sold manually after Vinted notifies you.
- No team mode. Single user, single device with iCloud backup.
FAQ
Does FlipperHelper handle Vinted's fee changes?
Vinted's seller fee structure has changed multiple times — see Vinted fees UK explained for the current breakdown. FlipperHelper records the price you sold for and the price you paid; for any seller-side platform charges in your region, you can include them as expenses on the item.
Can I track Depop and eBay sales of charity shop finds at the same time?
Yes. Each item has toggles for 16+ platforms. You can have an item listed on Vinted, Depop, and eBay simultaneously, and mark it sold on whichever platform actually closes.
Does the app work without an account?
Yes. The core tracking — items, prices, expenses, profit, dashboard — works without any sign-in. You only sign into Google if you want photo backup to Google Drive or one-tap export to Google Sheets.
How is the data stored?
Locally on your iPhone first, with automatic iCloud backup so it survives a phone reset. Photos can also sync to your Google Drive in the background.
