FlipperHelper Review: An Honest Look from the Developer
Last updated: 6 May 2026
Written by the developer, not marketing
If you searched “FlipperHelper review”, you probably want to know if the app is worth installing. This page is written by me, Oleksandr Prudnikov — the person who builds it. I’m not pretending to be an independent reviewer. I’m laying out what the app does well and where it falls short, then pointing to where to find third-party opinions.
Good for the right reseller, not for everyone
FlipperHelper is good if: you’re a UK or international reseller who sources from physical venues (car boots, charity shops, antiques fairs, brocantes), sells on multiple platforms, and wants to know your real profit after every expense — not just the gap between buy and sell price.
FlipperHelper is NOT good if: you need a web app (it’s mobile only — iOS and Android), you primarily want a cross-lister to push one listing to many platforms, or you need a built-in barcode scanner with live eBay sold-price lookups.
Where FlipperHelper earns its keep
- Real profit calculation
- Entry fees, transport, packaging, platform fees, all rolled into a per-item profit number.
- Hauls
- Group items by sourcing trip and see whether the trip itself was profitable as items sell over time.
- Offline-first
- Logs work at 6am car boots with no signal; data syncs later.
- Multi-currency
- Useful if you source in France or Belgium and sell in GBP.
- 16 selling platforms tracked
- eBay, Vinted, Depop, Facebook Marketplace, Etsy, Poshmark, Mercari, etc.
- Two backup paths
- Automatic backup (iCloud on iPhone, folder backup on Android) and manual ZIP export — plus optional Google Drive / Sheets export to work with your data on a PC.
- Free
- No ads, no account required.
The honest limitations
- Mobile only
- iOS and Android, no web app. If you want to work from a desktop browser, you can’t.
- No marketplace API
- When something sells on eBay, you mark it sold manually. The first paid feature on the roadmap is eBay API integration to automate this.
- No cross-listing
- You log a listing once, but pushing it to multiple platforms is on you. Vendoo or List Perfectly do that.
- No live price research
- No barcode scanner that pulls eBay sold prices. Flippd has this.
- Newer app
- Launched 21 March 2026. Fewer App Store reviews than legacy competitors.
Quick answers
Who is FlipperHelper for?
FlipperHelper is for resellers who source from car boot sales, charity shops, antiques fairs, estate sales, and similar physical venues, then sell on eBay, Vinted, Facebook Marketplace, Depop, and other platforms. It’s particularly suited to UK resellers, multi-platform sellers, and anyone who wants to track real profit after entry fees, transport, and packaging — not just buy vs. sell price.
Who is FlipperHelper NOT for?
FlipperHelper is not for users who need a web app — it’s mobile only (iOS and Android). It’s not a cross-lister: it doesn’t push a single listing to multiple marketplaces (use Vendoo or List Perfectly for that). It’s not a price-research tool — it doesn’t have a built-in barcode scanner that pulls eBay sold prices (Flippd does). And it won’t auto-sync with eBay or Vinted to mark sales — you mark sales manually until the planned eBay API tier ships.
What are FlipperHelper's main limitations?
Five honest limitations. (1) No web app — mobile only (iOS and Android). (2) Solo developer — one person ships, no team behind it. Public changelog at flipperhelper.app/changelog.html shows weekly activity. (3) No marketplace API yet — sale-syncing is manual. (4) No cross-listing — track only. (5) Newer app — launched March 2026, fewer App Store reviews than legacy competitors.
Why is the developer reviewing his own app?
This page exists to own the branded search result honestly. Pretending to be a third-party reviewer would be deceptive. Instead this is a clearly-labelled developer assessment — what the app does well, where it falls short, and where to find independent reviews. For third-party feedback, see the App Store reviews, the FlipperHelper subreddit, or the FlipperHelper vs Flippd vs Vendoo comparison post.

Who’s behind this
I’m a software engineer based in Wandsworth, London. I built FlipperHelper for my wife Valentina’s reselling business. Full background here. The public changelog shows weekly activity since the first commit on 20 February 2026.
